How to start a day/ Morning routine
1. Objective:
The purpose of this procedure is to productively start the day. Early hours are crucial to make the most out of your time and align with the objective of maximizing productivity.
2. Steps:
Step 1: Wake up consistently.
Set a wake up time at the same hour every day, even on weekends. This helps regulate your internal biological clock and ensures you get enough sleep. You need around 8 hours of sleep so make sure you got to sleep accordingly.
Step 2: Drink water, stretch, and shower.
Straight after waking up, splash some cold water on your face, drink some water, and do a 5-minute exercise like stretching. You can put on some music that gives you energy. Then, take a shower. This will help start your blood circulation and make you less prone to going back to sleep.
Step 3: Eat a healthy breakfast.
Eat a healthy breakfast. This could include a porridge or an egg-based breakfast. Avoid sugary foods. Coffee is okay but not just coffee and cake. During breakfast, you can read a book or listen to a podcast but avoid watching tv or browsing the internet. You need to relax.
Step 4: Meditate for a bit.
Have a 5 minute break for breath exercises and meditation to focus and reduce stress. Do an exercise in mindfulness to increase presence, gratitude, goodwill, and self-compassion.
Step 5: Plan the day (optional).
Plan the day if it hasn't been done the night before. Set yourself tasks that you think are important and specify the time they will require. Try to include tasks from various areas of your life. You can plan your tasks during breakfast.
Step 6: Kick-off the day.
